Washington Skate Park

Nice little park, my grandson enjoyed the skate park. Shame about the rubbish left by careless members of the public.

Our young children love it here. Been a few time through the day (weekend). Yes, there's some rubbish around and there were a couple of discarded trolleys nearby which isn't great but the skate area itself has been fine the times we've been. The kids that were using the area were polite, made way for my 6 year old and toddler as they trundled around and I didn't see any of the other issues mentioned. Perhaps the atmosphere is different on an evening but through the day we have no complaints.

Sadly, another poorly designed and finished park that makes it hard to skate. (It costs the same to design and finish it well if you employ the right people) The transitions are too far apart (you loose speed) the fun box is too small (can't generate more) the transitions curves are awkward (non standard...but learnable with practice) also watch the massive coping it is heavily waxed and super slick. The white paint patches around the park have much less grip than the bare concrete so watch out. The worst part is ground level lips at the bottom of the transitions are awful for small wheels (skateboard/blade/scooter) the gaps are so big they catch and rob even more speed. This is an easy fix for the council if they even knew it was a problem. If this was done the actual park would then be significantly improved for skating. I'm glad there is a park here, despite it's flaws, I enjoyed rolling around. Skateboarding is fun!

Chill park, hectic location. Its a fun little park when you time it right (no kids/scooters) otherwise its a nightmare. The lights all point to the middle at night and you usually have to bring a broom down as its covered in glass and all sorts. Worth a visit though. You can park at the leisure center and Asda is just round the corner too.

Great little park lovely ledge and nice baby Hubba. Could be a bit lacking and small for some but has a decent flow to it and plenty of things to do and try.

It's decent enough if you're learning or starting out, or just need a place to skate and hang out, nice central location to the surrounding shopping centers.

Full of tramps. And scooters with no respect No lights when dark as turn off at 9. Burnt floor and rubbish everywhere
