South Shields skatepark is an all concrete, transitions based park that is very close to the beach. The skatepark is split into two sections, the first is centred around a large funbox with hipped banks and a stair set in set. Next to this is a driveway with ledges and curved around the outside of these are two bowled edges. The other half of the skatepark is made up of a spine with two volcanoes either side of it that is surrounded with a continuous, round flat bank and has a quarter pipe inset.

The kids absolutely love it plenty to do for all ages. We go at least once a weak. Not just for skateboarders or scooters. There is a football and basket ball court. There is an excellent outdoor obstacle course as well.
