We booked a 1:1 skateboard lesson for my 8-year-old son with Sam at New Forest Skate Hub, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Sam was absolutely brilliant with my son - incredibly friendly and patient throughout the entire session. What impressed me most was how he managed to keep my son engaged for the full hour, which is no small feat as he usually loses focus quite quickly with new activities. As a complete beginner, my son learned all the essential basics during the lesson. Sam expertly taught him how to start and stop properly, and even got him comfortable going up and down the ramps. His teaching approach was perfect for a young learner - clear, encouraging, and safety-focused. Sam provided all the necessary equipment for the lesson, which was really convenient. He also gave us helpful advice about purchasing our own gear when we're ready to take the next step. The lesson was such a success that we've already booked another session for next week! My son hasn't stopped talking about it since. I'd highly recommend New Forest Skate Hub to any parents looking for quality skateboard instruction for their children. Sam's expertise, patience, and natural ability to connect with kids makes him an outstanding instructor.

10/10 in every aspect! At 42 years old I decided I wanted to start skating again after a 26 year break. Recently learning now that’s things have changed and that now you can have skateboarding lessons I was very fortunate to find Sam local to me. From the moment I met Sam he was extremely friendly, polite and genuine. His knowledge on skateboarding is outstanding and he teaches in a clear and passionate manor, from the very beginning he made me feel confident and helped clear any doubts I had in my self. Every lesson is well structured and great fun plus Sam will help and make you feel confident in every step. As a parent myself I would highly recommend Sam if your child is looking to get into the world of skateboarding. And as like me if your returning to the sport after many years get some lessons booked with Sam it will be the best decision you’ll make. I had doubts in my mind returning to skateboarding but once I had a lesson with Sam I’ve got the bug again and owe that to him and his passion for the world of skateboarding and his excellent 1-1 sessions, best money I’ve ever spent

So far our 5 year old son has had 2 lessons with Sam. Having had no previous experience on a board, he is absolutely loving it and making so much progress each lesson. Sam is so good at making our son feel relaxed, confident whilst also having fun. Sam’s ability to teach is incredible, we are so excited to see our son continue progressing on the ramps :) would highly recommend!

Sam is an absolute legend! Super friendly, patient, and encouraging. My 4-year-old had never even seen a skateboard before, and after just two lessons, he was dropping in (with a little help, of course). Worth every penny – highly recommend!

Sam has been great with my 7 year old. In his first session, he was teaching him 180s and dropping in. Sam has been really supportive and helped out my son even when he just saw him in the park!!! Watching him teach others, he is calm and attentive to the students and very supportive! Great instruction and definitely recommend him for anyone who wants to start or develop skating young or old! Sam is excellent at not only coaching skills and helping develop foundation techniques, but really instilling confidence in beginners. My son has come on so well in just a few lessons and that’s down to Sam’s calm and precise instruction reinforced with encouragement and supportive attitude. Sam is committed at developing my sons techniques and giving him the confidence to believe in himself… Absolutely brilliant in more than just an instructor, he’s a mentor and a great guy .. 👍🏼 google only allows 5 stars, Sam is a million !
