Gryphon Games and Comics

On a recent out of town trip, I took my son to check for Pokemon cards at Gryphon. They had a very small selection but it was well presented and the staff was very friendly. They informed me that most of their singles had been purchased earlier in the week which is why the selection was lacking. We did end up getting a few cool cards, the staff was super sweet to my child and I appreciated the store for its selection in other areas such as games!

5/30/22-This is a nice little comic and game store. They have a lot of comics in the back in long boxes. I do feel though that this store doesn't utilize the space as they could. They could jam pack it with so much more products to appeal to more demographics. Even with that they do a lot of cool stuff and have a great Free Comicbook Day each year. There is also a coffee shop built into the front, but it is a different business.

It's frustrating that this is the closest store to me. I've been going in weekly for months and it just feels like they don't care about anything. The store is always extremely unorganized and messy and they do not reply to online messages or pre-orders in a timely manner. Stock is extremely limited and if they even have what you are looking for, good luck trying to find it because even if the employees can find it in the computer, they will just generally motion to the comic book area and say "Well it is probably somewhere over there." There seems to be no communication amongst employees as any time I ask a question the cashiers either guess or just make up their own rules on the spot. Honestly I can just use one word to describe my three months shopping at Gryphon and that is: frustrating.

We went in to check out the game selection and play area. Most of the store is empty with very few shelves. It was a very large open area so I'm pretty sure we didn't just miss anything. There was a back room with large tables, but we didn't go in because the entire store smelled so moldy we had to leave.

This is the place to go if you're looking for anything Warhammer, D&D or Magic: The Gathering. There are tons of figures, card packs, manuals, and various sets for these games as well as a selection of other random games. The cafe in front was closed when we were there but it looked like it had a good selection of things. Out front by the Cafe there are tables where you can play D&D or any other game you want with friends.

I LOVED my visit to Gryphon! Staff were so friendly and helpful. We found some pretty special comics at a great price (the 'It's Jeff!' comics were an especially cute find!). We'll certainly be visiting again

I came for pokemon league and called the day before asking what time it started. They gave me the wrong information so I completely wasted my day and my gas driving from greeley to this store. Incompetent employees. Do not give your money to this store, they don’t even know how to properly run there events.

Looked inside. Nothing on the shelves and smells bad. Don't bother. It was sad with no inventory. I would say, our first opinion was negative because they had a hand written Nazi sign on the door. The sign had the president of America on it. It was a very angry sign and its intent was political. My wife took offense at the sign and we felt very uncomfortable in the store. We just went to Johnstown/Loveland and purchased our Warhammer stuff in their store. They didn't have a very big selction anyways. We also went to the Haunted Cafe Game store and purchased our Foundation Jump start packs there so we could play some magic games. Its too bad. I remembered Gryphon Games from a while back. My son was looking into colleges and we visited the store because of my memories of the store. They had a very low stock on stuff and should be more welcoming to people.
