The Oxford Shirts in Burford is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was impressed by the warm welcome and the impeccable presentation of the store. The quality of the shirts is outstanding—beautifully made, with attention to detail and timeless style. The staff were incredibly helpful, offering great advice without ever being pushy. You can really tell they care about both the product and the customer experience. Whether you're buying for yourself or as a gift, this place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

What a great place! It looks reasonably big from the outside, but is huge when you get inside as it extends a long way back. There is a large selection of very nice clothes for men and women, with a range of prices and qualities. I was just visiting Burford to visit friends, and went in for a browse. I came out having bought a jacket, trousers and a shirt! The staff were all pleasant and helpful, and I will be going back next time I am in the area. Those people posting 1 * reviews of the shop because they weren't allowed to take their dogs in are being unreasonable. Many shops do not allow dogs in, and not everyone is a dog lover.

Bit of a shirt junky and have been looking for a similar shirt to replace an old favourite. Very good quality product and great customer service. Not the cheapest but decent stuff will always be worth paying for. Would recommend!

Went to go in... With my dog like many shops allow in Burford, but no dogs allowed sign. We left. Shame as it's my fav shop and was looking at buy some clothes whilst in town.

Dreadful rude and condescending lady who ejected us because we have dogs (well travelled and small) there was no signage to say so as we are responsible grown ups who wouldn't have entered otherwise £200 sale forfeited So I went to Henry's in moreton and bought instead So it continues ! After two days of "chasing" calls from them (no doubt seeing reviews) Spoken to a "supervisor" at Burford (name witheld) To be told we arent suitable people for Burford ! We live in Worcestershire on a smallholding and have been condescended to once again ! - you may be close to London but don't behave like city folk ! Wearing £300 coats expensive boots and £5.5k worth of pedigree dogs We haven't crawled out of a gutter which is how we were made to feel (Ruined my birthday) Pursued out side by a member of staff We would like to view the apparently inaccurate CCTV and will.be calling head office

I have just had a shocking experience here with the older lady manager. I frequently shop here along with my family and today upon purchasing an item and leaving I quickly realised it was the wrong size. As the exit door was still open i turned around to return to the counter and the lady stopped me. "You're not coming in this way", she snapped. After explaining i literally only had one foot out of the door and needed to change the size she started almost shouting at me like i was a pupil and she was a school teacher! Eventually i persuaded her to serve me and she did so with such resentment she was just screwing up the item i had bought. Honestly i appreciate the one way system but also appreciate as a business owner myself that there is a way to treat and deal with customers and today was just not acceptable. I wont be shopping here again purely down to this lady. Senior management need to have a word with her before more people are treated this way. From previous reviews it seems as though this is an all too common practice.

I’m terribly sorry to say this but the product (cashmere jumper) had a really odd-shaped collar so needed to be returned. At that point I discovered that the ‘one free return per order’ is very much not free. They charged me both for shipping and a well-hidden additional handling fee. Suggest taking great care before ordering online. It’s pricey if the product isn’t right and other companies are much clearer about likely costs imho.

Would opt to shop online rather than visiting the Burford store again. Found the environment and staff very somber. I went to buy a jumper, which was online at £79.00, however in the store the jumpers were priced some at £69 and others £79. Apparently some were still at the old price, which is very confusing for any customer. I bought a Medium for £69, but realised I bought wrong size and went back to swap for a Large but was told the price was £79 on the Large if I wanted to swap and I'd have to pay the difference. I looked through the pile and found a Large priced at £69 so said I would just do a straight swap. Was made to feel awkward and like an inconvenience, from a mistake which was theirs and not mine. Wouldn't choose to return and would rather shop elsewhere.
