Lovely dance studio has many dancing rooms, with good sound and space the changing rooms and toilets were clean, the coffee store is very limited, people working in there do not bother to clean the tables perhaps could improve a bit. They have a small shop for clothing, a vendo machine. Tables to seat indoors and outside

Review for ROYAL GALE Born to Wine Class I wanted to leave this review here since there doesn’t seem to be a way to leave feedback directly on the Royal.G Born to Wine website. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the experience, especially after being so excited to attend. First off, the teacher was under the impression that the class was 2 hours long, when in reality it was only 1.5 hours (from 8:30 to 10:00 PM). Because of this confusion, she spent almost a full hour on stretching and warm-up exercises, leaving only about 25 minutes for the actual wining portion. It wasn’t until one of the attendees double-checked with the front desk that we were told the studio would close at 10 PM. We all paid for a 90-minute class, which is fair—but because the teacher wasn’t properly informed, we barely got to focus on the core of the class. Secondly, the space was extremely overcrowded. It was clear that no one checked in advance how many people the studio could comfortably hold. Many of us couldn’t fully participate in the exercises due to lack of space. While the teacher did apologize repeatedly, this is something that should’ve been sorted out well before the class started. Another issue was the sound—since the studio is located under a train line and the mic didn’t work, it was hard to hear instructions, especially for those of us who don’t have perfect English. Communication was a real struggle throughout, which made it hard to follow along or enjoy the experience. Lastly, the studio itself wasn’t clean. The floors were sticky, and there was hair everywhere. It really took away from the atmosphere and made the whole experience feel unprofessional. Sadly, I regret booking this class. I didn’t learn much, and the environment made it hard to enjoy what should’ve been a fun and empowering experience.

Massive variety of classes, including well known folk you'll recognise from other London dance studios. Classes are often 90 minutes (at cheaper prices!), so you get more of a chance to learn the choreo. People pay before class (no door fee, just class fee) so teachers don't have to stop teaching to collect money from people. Since opening they've fixed the remaining bits and pieces - there are benches in change rooms now and mirrors in the studios don't get misty any more! No showers though.

I would recommend Base studios for those with a little more experience than beginner. Perfect for novice and intermediate dancers who want to progress and great for int/adv level. There is a really good variety of styles. There are very few beginner classes which teach you from scratch. If you are a complete beginner I would start at Pineapple first where the class level is much easier. Overall, Base has some great classes been going for 3.5 years and still love to dance here. The classes have become more and more focused on videos at the end which is a shame as rather than using the full 1.5 hours to dance and practice some teachers do select groups for over extended periods of time that would be expected for class. Class prices are reasonable still however update of the changing rooms is much needed now Base has competition with other new studios such as Playground and The Manor.

Firstly, I would like to say thank all those who involved, inspired and supported this amazing place but you aren't going to discover a lot of people and different kind of dancing for beginners. They presume about high level of dancing and aren't giving any nice welcome to the beginners. Moreover, all their employees and teachers aren't very helpful. In fact, I have suffering some kind of discrimination and was banned with no reason. In order to solve any issues I wrote them. Their answers has been not useful because they have been not capable to answer a single email in several months and they have even kept my money and deleted my account. Don't think I will be coming back again. Very sad what's happened today and last time. It's a pity because it was my favourite place to be learning with several nice teachers.

The Base studio is great and stressful at the same time. I love the teachers, their style, I love that the app, the registration for a class and entering are so simple! But there are a few things which turned me away. First, a lot of classes marked as “All levels”, so, as a beginner, I decided it suits me too. Unfortunately, I was really stressed by an advanced class. Second, there are about 7~ rooms with about 300 people in total, but a small 10-people changing room and 2 toilets which cause a big lines and stress of not having a space to change. As teachers are awesome, I could accept two things above. But the third thing made me doubt if I want to keep attending this studio. 3 times out of 4 the rooms are overloaded: I couldn’t see what teacher is doing at all and I didn’t have space make some important movements (someone even stepped on my foot). I was so stressed by the fact that I can’t even see the movements, that I had to leave earlier. I love dancing! So I am frustrated by the fact that classes are associated with the constant stress in my head.

Floors are very dirty. They should not allow people with outside shoes inside the studios. After the class, my hands are filthy. It's disgusting thinking about it... me picking up all the dirt from people 's shoes on my hands and my clothes! Shame as some of the classes are extremely good. Good teachers and good vibes.
